About this position: Voter Engagement Specialist

This position (VES) will spend eight weeks building grassroots support for reproductive health and rights through voter contact and grassroots organizing initiatives. 

What you’ll be doing:

The VES will learn and apply community organizing tactics that lead to social change, such as engaging supporters and volunteers to conduct voter education on campus, over the phone, and through outreach at community events.

The VES will work under the supervision of their local PPVNH Field Organizer, with additional guidance from the State Director.

You’ll need to have:

Excellent customer service skills

Prior community organizing experience is a plus, but is not necessary and can be substituted with an ability to work hard and learn quickly

Commitment and desire to educate and mobilize individuals around reproductive health and rights issues

Comfortable calling and speaking to strangers on behalf of Planned Parenthood

Team player and strong independent worker

Well-organized and self-motivated

Computer skills including word-processing, data entry and online organizing through social networks like Facebook

Salary Range:

Indiana/Kentucky: $15-22.50

*Actual starting pay will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, internal equity, geographic location, and the budgeted hiring range established for the position.

Other Information:

All new hires are strongly recommended to have the COVID-19 vaccination, including boosters. All new hires hired between September and April must present proof of receiving a current flu shot.
