Location: PCI-MS – Galvez Garage, Baton Rouge, LA
Reports To: Facility Manager
Position Summary
The Garage Maintenance Attendant is responsible for ensuring the Galvez Garage remains clean, safe, and well-maintained. This role performs daily cleaning, maintenance, and operational tasks, including opening and closing procedures, while supporting the overall appearance and functionality of the facility.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily opening and closing procedures, ensuring all gates, doors, and restrooms are properly secured and operational.
Maintain cleanliness throughout the facility, including sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, cleaning stairwells, elevators, lobbies, restrooms, and office areas.
Conduct weekly and monthly cleaning projects such as wiping handrails, removing cobwebs, cleaning glass doors, polishing stainless steel, and maintaining signage and equipment.
Treat oil spots, clean drains, sweep entry/exit lanes, and maintain exterior areas.
Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are cleaned, stored properly, and maintained in good condition.
Assist with special and ongoing projects, including equipment maintenance, painting, and cleaning of storage areas, dumpsters, and pipes.
Report facility or equipment issues promptly to the Facility Manager.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior janitorial, maintenance preferred.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently.
Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and detail.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical work in varying conditions.
Availability for evening and weekend shifts as scheduled.
Work Environment
Indoor and outdoor facility setting with exposure to weather, noise, and cleaning materials.
Standing, walking, bending, and lifting required for most of the shift
