Poker Dealer - Part Time

A Pokers Dealer operates casino poker games by managing bets, dealing cards, and ensuring adherence to gaming regulations while providing exceptional customer service. They take in bets on losing and pay winning bets and monitor for cheating.

Responsibilities

• Deal poker games efficiently and accurately according to established rules and procedures.
• Protect the integrity of the game by ensuring all gaming regulations and company policies are followed.
• Collect and manage pots, rake, jackpots, and promotional drops accurately.
• Maintain awareness of game activity and identify irregularities, disputes, or suspicious behavior.
• Explain game rules and procedures to guests as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all guests while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Accurately announce betting action, winners, and payouts.
• Perform chip counts and maintain proper bankroll control.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, floor staff, and fellow team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional gaming environment.
• Comply with all company, state, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Prior poker dealer experience required.
• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Prior tournament dealing experience preferred.
• Must be able to perform basic mathematical functions and pass math assessment. 
• Must be able to obtain & maintain an active Illinois Gaming License.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.
• Must be able to work in areas containing dust, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds and air quality.
• Must always present a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Always display a high level of confidentiality and integrity.
• Capacity to work well with others and handle stressful situations with ease.
• Possess effective learning skills.
• Requires prolonged sitting; reaching from a sitting position of approximately forty-eight (48) inches across the table, left, center, right; eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity necessary to handle cards, chips and currency
• Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period
• Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period.

• Salary Range:  $9,00 per hour (plus pooled tokes)
