Job Details: Job Location: Wentzville Rec Center (WREC) - Wentzville, MO, Position Type: Variable Hours Part Time, Salary Range: $15.18 - $15.18Hourly, Job Shift: Any, Job Category: Child Care, Essential Job Duties

Provide respectful, professional, positive service in all interactions between co-workers, internal external customers, community members, and the public at large.
Maintain a positive and productive environment ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, goals and objectives of the City, Department and Division.
Assist patrons in registering and participating in programs and answer patron inquiries.
Complete required reports, including facility-tracking reports, incident reports, and accident reports.
Meet special needs of participants by modifying assignments and activities and providing general assistance as needed.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patrons utilizing programs and the facility.
Implement and design new programs.
Coach and mentor participants.
Monitor participant safety and maintain working knowledge of emergency plans and evacuation procedures.

Ancillary Job Duties

Relieve superiors of routine administrative tasks.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Job Qualifications – Education, experience, and training that are required or desirable in order to effectively perform the job at the time of hire. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. Additional requirements and/or substitutions may be requested and require the approval of HR.

Prior relevant experience desired.

Ability to develop a basic competency level in the area of operation.
Ability to follow standard operating procedures and systems to accomplish tasks.
Ability to provide exceptional service to internal and external customers. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with supervisors, co-workers, and customers by telephone, in writing, and in person.
Ability to use good judgment and think rationally in difficult or stressful situations.
Ability to develop goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work, as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in the use of basic business software (word processing, spreadsheets, email, presentations) and basic office equipment.
Ability to work under direct supervision and collaboratively in a team environment.
Regular attendance is a necessary and essential job duty. Job requires being reliable, responsible and dependable.
