Käthe Wohlfahrt of America is bringing the magic of a traditional German Christmas market to Aurora, and we're looking for an experienced retail leader to manage our seasonal Christmas Village store.

This is a hands-on Store Manager position with responsibility for hiring and leading the seasonal team, delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining our distinctive visual merchandising standards, and overseeing the day-to-day operation of the store.

What you'll do

• Recruit, hire, train and lead seasonal store staff
• Coach the team to deliver exceptional customer service
• Manage scheduling and payroll within budget
• Oversee daily store operations, receiving and inventory
• Maintain visual merchandising and presentation standards
• Resolve customer service issues
• Build an engaged, motivated team through regular communication and recognition

What we're looking for

• Retail management or supervisory experience; 2–5 years preferred
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable managing a fast-paced seasonal retail environment
• Availability for weekends, evenings and holidays during the market season
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.; team lift up to 50 lbs.

Schedule & season

Part-time from approximately Sept. 21–Nov. 10, transitioning to full-time (up to 40 hours/week) Nov. 10–Dec. 26.

The market is open Sunday-Thursday 11-8pm, and Friday- Saturday 11-9:30pm.
