Pilates Instructor II

Job Description:

To assist in a first line management capacity, administering policies, procedures, functions, and actitivites of the Pilates Center and to teach Pilates private apparatus lessons, group mat classes, and tower classes.

Essential Job Functions:

76 %  A.   Teaches apparatus lessons, mat classes, and tower classes

5 %    B.   Communicates with clients and manages teaching schedule

5 %    C.   Assists with Pilates events on campus such as student classes, alumni events, & demonstrations

4 %    D.   Maintains personal client payment cards

4 %    E.   Assists with registration and filing of health forms

3 %    F.   Cleans apparatus room weekly and notifies Director of any stocking needs

3 %    G.  Organizes and updates private wait list and other postings on staff board

Education:

Required: Pilates Instructor certification through the Pilates Studio or Romana's Pilates (TPNY).  Annual continuing education (CPE) attendance.

Preferred:  Undergraduate or graduate degree in dance.

Professional Experience:

Required:  Teaching experience as an apprentice or instructor

Preferred:  Experience in dance
