The host/hostess is responsible for welcoming guests, managing reservations via iPad, and coordinating room service orders. They must also maintain the cleanliness of the restaurant area and ensure smooth daily operations.
Job Description
Responsibilities and Duties
- Welcome guests with a smile and friendly demeanor as they arrive at the restaurant and seat at them at their tables.
- They will take room service orders over the phone and prepare them/sometimes take to room
- They will make reservations using the iPad for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- Maintain accurate knowledge of restaurant layout, menu, and specials.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the restaurant and hostess area.
- Participate in training programs to continuously improve guest service skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
- Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent customer service skills.
- Must be able to work in a team-driven environment to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
