We are seeking energetic and experienced Piano Faculty members to join our team at BSMA! The ideal candidates are compassionate, creative, and has a passion for teaching students ages 5 and up, and Adults in private and small group classes.. This is an in-school (not in-home or online-only) position.
A college degree in music is NOT required, although preferred. Performers who have 10+ years of teaching experience, are experienced performers, great with children, and have an outgoing personality are encouraged to apply. Must be able to pass a background check.

The successful candidate will be a part-time, W2 employee, not an independent contractor.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a fun and engaging experience for students.
- Become trained, and certified in delivering our lessons program
- Keep internal lessons progress notes
- Prepare students for community performances and school performances
- May prepare students for competitions as BSMA rep, or for special auditions.
- Will teach small groups and bands weekly (recurring group class pay rate is higher than range)
Qualifications:
- Prefer Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field
- Solid Piano performance experience and teaching ability - across multiple genres
- Reliable
- Ability to create a warm, engaging, and encouraging music learning experience in 1-on-1 and group settings
- Must pass background test, showing suitability to teach children
- Can work independently, and be directed at times.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organized
- Ideally 2+ years' experience teaching music to ages 4 to Adult.
