The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults, all designed to keep our community healthy.  The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery.

Opportunity Details:

Provide comprehensive surgical care in collaboration with attending surgeons and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Provide inpatient and outpatient surgical care. 
Evaluate and manage podiatric surgical patients. 
Assist in the operating room and perform Peri-operative assessments. 
Participate in Emergency Department consultations, coordinate discharge planning, and provide cross-coverage of other surgical services as needed.

Qualifications
Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant.
Current certification issued by the NCCPA.
Surgical/Orthopedic experience preferred; motivated new graduates with strong surgical clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $131,127* - $174,836* based on 40-hour work week and years of State Licensure.

The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $144,239** - $192,319**, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution and other factors as set forth below:

401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):

Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
