Summary
The Physician Assistant will provide acute and chronic patient care, including performing histories, wound care, and suturing. They are also responsible for ordering tests, prescribing medications, and educating patients and their families.
Job Description
Licensed Physician Assistant needed for busy orthopedic surgeon in North OKC
Responsibilities:
- Provide acute and chronic patient care including patient histories
- Perform pre and post operative patient care
- Wound care and suturing
- Monitor therapies
- Prescribe appropriate medications
- Order and interpret tests
- Take patient calls as needed
- Educate patients and families
- Complete discharge summaries as requested by physician
Requirements
- Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current PA license in State of Oklahoma required
- NCCPA certified or eligible
- One year in orthopedics is preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Experience with Epic a plus
- Strong computer skills
