We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Pelvic Floor Specialist (DPT) to join our Obstetrics & Gynecology practice part time, 20 hours/week. Join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals seeking specialized care and support for pelvic health.

  • Locations:  Florham Park, NJ, Hoboken, and Warren NJ
  • Hours: Mon-Fri Variable. No Weekends.

➤ Stronger Integration with Women's Health Care

  • Direct Collaboration with OB/GYN physicians, nurse practitioners, midwives and other women's health specialists.
  • Ability to participate in comprehensive treatment plans for patients dealing with pregnancy, postpartum recovery, pelvic pain, prolapse, incontinence, endometriosis, and sexual health concerns.
  • More seamless communication with referring providers, leading to better continuity of care and patient outcomes.

➤ Access to a Dedicated Pelvic Health Patient Population

  • Consistent flow of patients specifically seeking women's health and pelvic floor services.
  • Less time spent treating general orthopedic conditions and more opportunity to specialize in pelvic health.
  • Ability to build expertise in complex women's health cases that may not be as common in a traditional PT practice.

➤ Improved Patient Compliance and Outcomes

  • Easier coordination of appointments and follow-up care.
  • Faster intervention for issues identified during routine gynecologic, prenatal, or postpartum visits.

➤ Collaborative and Mission-Driven Environment

  • Working with providers who share a common focus on women's health.
  • Feeling like an integral part of a healthcare team rather than operating as a separate service line.
  • Opportunity to contribute to preventive care and long-term quality of life for patients.
  • Opportunity for provider training.

The Pelvic Floor Specialist works on-site in collaboration with our provider team and performs comprehensive evaluations and develops individualized treatment plans for patients with pelvic floor dysfunction, prenatal/postpartum musculoskeletal complaints, post-surgical rehabilitation, and sexual pain disorders.

  • Addresses both hypertonic (overactive) and hypotonic (underactive) pelvic floor issues.
  • Utilizes manual therapy, neuro-muscular re-education, and therapeutic exercise.

Prenatal and Postpartum Care

  • Designs safe, tailored exercise and rehabilitation programs for pregnant and postpartum patients.
  • Helps manage pregnancy-related conditions, (e.g., Diastasis recti, low back pain and pelvic girdle pain, Sciatica, and C-section recovery).
  • Educates patients on proper body mechanics, posture, and breathing techniques.

Pain Management

  • Treats chronic pelvic pain, vulvodynia, dyspareunia (pain with intercourse), and interstitial cystitis.
  • Integrates pain neuroscience education with manual therapy and graded movement.

Post-Surgery Rehabilitation

  • Assists in recovery from gynecological surgeries (e.g., hysterectomy, prolapse repair).
  • Promotes scar tissue mobilization to help restore core and pelvic floor function.
