Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center, a 118 bed skilled nursing facility located in Natick, MA, is looking for a Physical Therapist to join our team. Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center has been deeply rooted in the MetroWest community for over 25 years with a reputation for providing high quality care. This facility is situated in a beautiful setting with modern updates to the property and state of the art short term rehab unit and therapy gym.

Summary

To provide patient evaluation, care planning and direct treatment to a general rehab caseload.  Participates in the clinical team process.  Provides teaching and training to patients, families and caregiver staff.  Participates in clinical program development.

Essential Job Functions: Responsibilities and Standards

Screens patients according to policy.
Evaluates patients and develops appropriate plan of treatment.
Under a physicians order, provides evaluation and direct patient treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
Contributes to the interdisciplinary team meeting/process.
Consults with and trains patients, families and caregivers.
Maintains productivity expectations on an ongoing basis.
Documents treatment according to company’s clinical documentation system on a timely basis.
Demonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations.
Communicates effectively with patients, families, caregivers, team members and supervisor.
Promotes positive customer relations.
Participates in clinical program development and implantation.
Demonstrates ability for continuous new learning to remain current in the field.
Participates in quality improvement activities.
Exhibits courtesy, compassion and respect to patients, families, caregivers, visitors, physician, administrators and other team members.
Delivers services in compliance with the facilities ethical standards, policy and procedure, national professional standards, state practice acts where applicable, and current accepted state of the art practice.
Other: Tasks and duties as assigned by the Rehabilitation Manger or Administrator as needed.

QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, Experience Required

Bachelor of Science , Master of Science or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy and current professional licensure in the state of hire.
At least one year of work experience as a Physical Therapist working with adults.
Orthopedic and manual skills are preferred.
Possess strong oral and written communication skills, Organizational and analytical skills required.
Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers.
Demonstrated ability to utilize independent and effective clinical judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Demonstrates effective time management skills.
