Physical Therapist Assistant - Per Diem - Days

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Staff Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapy Assistant is responsible for administering physical therapy modalities of treatment. 

Core Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing treatment as directed by the staff Physical Therapist
• Observe and evaluate treatment effect, discusses observations with staff
• Assess patient pain interfering with optimal level of function or participation in rehabilitation
• Perform components of an appropriate assessment on all patients
• Assists with formulation of a teaching plan
• Coordinates and assists with patient care to ensure patient’s needs are met
• Maintains records pertinent to personnel and operation of the department and accurately reflects condition/status of the patient
• Keeps patient schedule board or book current
• Perform other duties as required.

Education/Experience Requirements

REQUIRED:

• Graduate of an accredited college of physical therapist assistant program
• Possess a certification from the State of New York
