Phlebotomist - Internal Medicine Kinston

Position Summary

The Phlebotomist is responsible for providing professional and courteous service to all patients, visitors, and employees of our facility. The phlebotomist performs certain clinical tasks that he/she has been approved to perform through an educational or clinical check-off by a qualified member of the staff to include specimen collection and patient education. In addition to this, the phlebotomist is responsible for all clerical duties associated with maintaining a well-organized laboratory.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or higher 
• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Computer skills include basic data entry and word processing.  Excel, PowerPoint, and Access experience desired.

Preferred:

• Graduate of an accredited phlebotomy program with at least two years of experience 
• ASCP or equivalent certification 
• Two years secretarial experience in a medical facility 

Pay Range

• $18.00 - $22.86 (hourly)

Other Information

• 36 hours per week
• Monday - Thursday (8 am - 5 pm)
• Friday (8 am - 12 noon)
