Summary
The pharmacist will assist in providing high-quality pharmaceutical care by dispensing medications, counseling patients, and maintaining accurate records. They will also serve as a consultant to medical staff, supervise ancillary staff, and ensure compliance with department policies.
Job Description
Gardner Health Services is currently recruiting to fill a Pharmacist position. This is a part-time, 20hour/week position based out of the Saint James Health Center located at San Jose, California. Partial benefits are provided to 20 hour/week employees.
The Pharmacist shall assist the Pharmacist-In-Charge in providing high quality pharmaceutical care to patients and satellite clinics throughout the Network. The Pharmacist will dispense medications, conduct patient interviews, counsel patients, maintain proper recordkeeping, monitor clinic’s floor stock supply, serve as consultant to medical staff, train and supervise ancillary staff, and enforce the department's policies and procedures The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is very important. Candidates possessing bilingual skills in Spanish or basic Spanish speaking skills are preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:
The minimum qualifications of this position is listed below. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Graduate from an accredited school of pharmacy.

Licensed in the state of California.
- One year of pharmacy experience.

Willingness to learn some work‑related Spanish.
- Interact in a courteous helpful manner with patients, clients and staff. Work effectively with a diverse population and positively in a teamwork environment.

Compensation:
Compensation and level of position placement will be determined based on relevant experience and education.
Pharmacist - $62.00 - $67.00/hour

In 1967, community members with help from the Stanford Medical School created a small clinic to meet the urgent health needs of local farm workers in the Alviso community.
