Personal Trainer

Summary

The ideal candidate is a passionate and energetic Personal Trainer who excels at providing individualized, one-on-one fitness training for hotel guests and members. This individual creates a motivating and supportive atmosphere while ensuring a safe and effective workout experience tailored to each client’s needs. The candidate should have a strong background in various training styles, including strength training, functional training, yoga, HIIT, and corrective exercises, and thrive in a luxury hospitality environment.

Essential Functions

Job duties include, although are not limited to:

• Design and deliver personalized, dynamic, and safe fitness sessions tailored to individual client goals and fitness levels.
• Assess clients’ fitness levels, provide progress tracking, and adjust programs as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
• Teach proper form, technique, and safety measures during personal training sessions.
• Foster an encouraging and inclusive environment that enhances the client’s fitness journey.
• Provide modifications and progressions to accommodate different fitness levels and goals.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of fitness studio and equipment.
• Stay current on fitness trends, techniques, and certifications to ensure high-quality training.
• Promote additional wellness services available at the hotel to clients.
• Support special events, wellness programs, and private training requests as needed.

Internal Relationships

Reports to Director of Fitness

External Relationships

Has regular contact with Guest & Members.

Qualifications and Education/Experience Requirements

• Certification in Group Fitness Instruction (ACE, NASM, AFAA, or equivalent).
 • CPR/AED Certification (required).
 • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience leading group fitness classes.
 • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
 • Ability to engage and motivate diverse participants in a luxury hospitality setting.
 • Experience with various fitness modalities, such as yoga, HIIT, spin, or aqua fitness (preferred).
 • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements 

Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. It requires walking or standing to a significant degree, as well as reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing.
