The Personal Support Instructor (PSI) provides daily care and behavioral support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The PSI helps individuals achieve greater self-sufficiency through structured routines, goal-based activities, and hands-on support aligned with each person’s Individual Support Plan (ISP).
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with daily living tasks and household responsibilities
Implement ISP goals and behavior strategies
Support community participation and recreational activities
Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
Attend required training and agency meetings
Administer medications and document in Medication Administration Record
Provide 24-hour emergency support as needed
Maintain a safe and supportive environment
Communicate attendance issues or emergencies to supervisors
QualificationsQualifications:
High School Diploma or GED (REQUIRED)
Clean driving record, valid CA Driver’s License, and current auto insurance
1–4 years experience in direct support preferred
Background check required
Strong documentation and time management skills
Part-time positions
Must be flexible for all shifts
