What to Expect: Short-Term Commitment with Long-Term Options
Many of our clients are just starting services, and we need dependable caregivers to help get them off the ground and stable. Once that happens, we’ll transition a permanent caregiver into the role.

We simply ask for a short-term commitment to help the client adjust and get the care they need at the beginning.
What You'll Do
As a Personal Support Specialist, you will assist clients with a variety of non-medical home care services, including:
- Personal care assistance
- Mobility support and transfers
- Meal preparation
- Light housekeeping
- Companionship and social engagement
- Transportation assistance
- Temporary coverage for clients when their regular caregiver is unavailable.

Schedule Expectations
- Primarily daytime weekday hours
- Occasional weekend availability may be requested
- Typical shifts occur between 6:30 AM - 4:00 PM or 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Additional hours may be available based on client needs
- Major holidays generally observed, with optional holiday shifts available
Travel Requirements
This position serves clients throughout Portland and nearby communities.
Applicants should be comfortable traveling within the service area and supporting multiple client locations as needed. Mileage reimbursement is provided for eligible travel.
Candidates Should Be
- Dependable and punctual
- Compassionate and patient
- Comfortable adapting to changing schedules and assignments

- Team-oriented and willing to assist where needed
- Committed to providing high-quality care and customer service
Minimum Qualifications
- At least one year of caregiving experience preferred
- PSS Certified (No Certificate? No worries we will help you in getting your PSS)
- Experience in home care, assisted living, memory care, or skilled nursing settings is a plus
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Reliable transportation preferred
- Ability to successfully pass a background screening
- Ability to safely assist clients with mobility and lift up to 50 pounds when necessary
- Current immunization documentation, including MMR, Varicella, and annual influenza vaccination records
