Position Introduction: Peer Learning Assistants (PLAs) provide academic assistance for students enrolled in a range of target courses, including introductory, upper-division, and instructor-managed sessions. PLAs are responsible for preparing for and staffing weekly small-group tutoring sessions, held in-person and/or online. PLAs are required to attend the following training sessions at the start of each semester:
PLAs should expect a minimum average commitment of 4 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours. Candidates must demonstrate a welcoming and inviting attitude, a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment, and a willingness to perform other related duties as assigned. |
