Payroll/Staff Accountant

Position Summary
As a Staff Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing and administering payroll operations. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, you will also oversee various aspects of the company's financial activities, including general ledger accounting, cost accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and vendor and client contracts management.

Salary Range: $62,000 - $70,000

Responsibilities

• Administer payroll functions, including payroll processing, timecard management, review, reconciliation, and resolution of payroll-related discrepancies.
• Management of monthly client invoices.
• Conduct routine accounting tasks such as processing invoices and reconciling accounts.
• Manage credit card reconciliation.
• Support the maintenance of accounting systems and subsidiaries.
• Implement and manage accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist in the generation of month-end and year-end financial reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university in the United States. 
• Minimum of one (1) year of accounting experience required.
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Advanced experience with MS Excel.
• Proven ability to identify and resolve complex issues effectively.
• Demonstrated creativity and innovation in problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to coordinate projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated initiative and independent judgment.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
