Summary
The patient transporter is responsible for safely and timely moving patients to their destinations while maintaining medical equipment like wheelchairs and stretchers. They must also document service requests and ensure all equipment is kept in a clean and sanitary condition.
Job Description
Per Diem, Rotate
Receives and transports patients in a safe and timely manner to their designated destination. Will document request for services in order to provide an accurate and timely tracking system. Will maintain wheelchairs, stretchers, and all other used equipment in clean and sanitary condition, as well as proper working order (i.e., oiling wheels of such equipment). Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Required- High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
Required - None
Preferred - Patient transportation or customer service experience
Certifications:
Current Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (American Red Cross or American Heart Association) if American Red Cross, must obtain American Heart Association within 60-days of hire
