Key Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors while providing outstanding customer service
• Manage patient check-in and check-out processes
• Complete patient registration, demographic updates, and required documentation
• Verify insurance eligibility for Medicare, Medi-Cal, HMO, and commercial plans
• Confirm primary and secondary insurance coverage and maintain accurate payer information
• Collect co-pays, self-pay amounts, co-insurance, and other patient payments
• Schedule appointments and maintain provider calendars
• Answer incoming calls and assist patients with questions and concerns
• Follow up with patients regarding missed appointments
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the EMR system

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of medical front office experience
• Minimum 1 year of insurance eligibility and verification experience
• Experience with patient registration and appointment scheduling
• Experience utilizing EMR/EHR systems
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, HMO, and commercial insurance plans

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
