Part time - 20 hrs per week

Shift 8am-430pm

Role Overview: As a Patient Registration Rep, you are the welcoming face and voice of Henry Ford Health, ensuring a smooth and compassionate experience for every patient. You¿ll support our clinical and non-clinical teams by managing patient registration, insurance verification, and cash collections. Your role is vital in creating a positive first impression, streamlining operations, and advocating for patient needs, making a direct impact on their care journey.

What You Will Do: - Greet and check in patients face-to-face, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience. - Verify insurance eligibility and collect payments, maintaining accuracy and efficiency. - Update patient registration and insurance information in our systems. - Respond to inquiries from callers and customers, advocating on their behalf. - Perform new patient registration and preregistration tasks. - Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.

What You Will Need: Required Qualifications: - High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. - Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. - Ability to meet or exceed customer service standards over the phone, in person, and in writing. Preferred Qualifications: - One (1) year of experience in patient admitting, registration, or insurance eligibility in a hospital or medical office setting. - EPIC training/experience and familiarity with insurance payor systems.
