Patient Care Technician (PCT)/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Northridge Internal Medicine

As a Patient Care Technician at Northridge Internal Medicine, you will play a vital role in helping patients navigate their healthcare journey while supporting a busy, collaborative outpatient care team. The Role 

In this ambulatory setting, the Patient Care Technician serves as an important member of the care team, supporting both clinical operations and patient care activities. Every day brings opportunities to engage with patients, coordinate care, and contribute to an efficient, patient-centered practice. 

On a typical day, you may: 

• Assist with patient intake, rooming, and preparation for appointments. 

• Obtain and document vital signs and other clinical information. 

• Support providers during examinations and procedures as appropriate. 

• Perform administrative and clinical support tasks to help ensure seamless clinic operations. 

• Communicate with patients, families, providers, and fellow team members to coordinate care needs. 

• Help maintain accurate documentation and support quality patient outcomes. 

• Contribute to a positive patient experience through compassionate, respectful interactions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent

Experience: No experience required

Licensure: American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS Certification required. For Non-Certified team members hired prior to May 11, 2026, certification is not required, as relevant experience will be accepted in its place. 

Must have one of the following: 

• Certified Nursing Assistant in the Commonwealth of Virginia  

• Emergency Medical Technician in the Commonwealth of Virginia  

• Military Corpsmen/Medic (Combat Medic Specialist /Tactical Combat Casualty Care /Tactical Paramedic) NREMT certification or Tactical Responder Certification 

• LPN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia  

• Graduate of a certified nursing program  

• Patient Care Technician Certification, preferred National Center of Competency Testing 

• Currently enrolled student nurses who have successfully completed the Clinical Experience and Didactic 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires frequently bending/stooping and driving (Home Health Aide only).  Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 – 50lbs and > 100lbs (Home Health Aide only).   May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease. 

The pay range for this role is $16.37 - $23.82 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
