Patient Access Representative - Reception (Weekends Only)

Description

Neuroscience Group is looking for two (2) Patient Access Representatives to join our team and provide weekend coverage. Each team member will work every other weekend from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday, providing a consistent and predictable part-time schedule.  

As a Patient Access Representative, you will be one of the first people our patients and families meet when they arrive. This position plays an important role in creating a warm, welcoming environment while ensuring patient registration is completed accurately and efficiently. 

For over 30 years, Neuroscience Group has provided specialized brain, spine, and pain care to patients throughout Northeast Wisconsin. We are a physician-owned and physician-led practice committed to providing exceptional care and a positive patient experience.

Schedule

We are hiring two individuals who will alternate weekends, allowing us to provide consistent weekend coverage while giving each employee a predictable schedule.

Hours: Saturday and Sunday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, every other weekend.

What You'll Do

As part of our Patient Access Team, you will:

• Welcome patients and guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner. 
• Complete patient check-in and registration accurately and efficiently. 
• Verify patient information and insurance coverage as needed. 
• Collect patient payments and maintain appropriate confidentiality. 
• Respond to routine patient questions and help direct patients throughout their visit. 
• Assist with opening and closing responsibilities for the clinic. 
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area. 
• Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative team members to keep the patient experience running smoothly. 

These responsibilities align with the core reception and registration functions of the position. 

Requirements

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, provides excellent customer service, and pays close attention to detail. The right person will be dependable, professional, and comfortable working in a patient-facing healthcare environment.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with two years of customer service-related experience. Previous experience in a healthcare or clinic setting, particularly with patient registration or computerized scheduling systems, is preferred.
