Role Overview

As a Passenger Bus Driver, you will safely transport Henry Ford Health employees and guests to various locations within the Henry Ford Hospital System facilities and parking lots. Your role is essential in providing reliable and courteous transportation services, ensuring a positive experience for all passengers while maintaining the highest safety standards.

What You Will Do

• Safely operate a passenger bus to transport employees and guests across Henry Ford Hospital System facilities and parking lots.
• Maintain a customer-friendly demeanor and etiquette while interacting with passengers.
• Ensure compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety protocols.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
• Adhere to scheduled routes and timelines, adapting to changes as necessary.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with P endorsement in good standing (3 or fewer points).
• Valid DOT Medical Card.
• Successful completion of U.S. and Michigan Department of Transportation Background Screening & Hiring Processes.
• Manual dexterity and eye-hand-foot coordination necessary to drive a bus.
• Near and far visual acuity and depth and spatial perception.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a bus driver in a healthcare or similar setting.
