Parts Assembler

Job Details: Job Location: Mt Juliet - Mt. Juliet, TN, Salary Range: Undisclosed, POSITION SUMMARY:

Primarily responsible for performing bench or line assembly/sub-assembly operations on a variety of product.  Responsible for compliance to Quality Systems Regulations (QSR).

PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for assembly of product using hand tools in accordance with specification and work instructions.
Responsible for learning a variety of workstations and compliance with policies/procedures applicable to the position.
Responsible for the customer’s request and to make sure the items are sent out on time.
Participate in a self-managed team.  Assumes specific responsibilities on a rotating basis for activities/items including but not limited to E-Mobility, Leckey, Firefly, Service Parts, etc..

May assist Customer Service regarding orders and questions regarding parts.

Performs necessary TQC and documentation signoffs.

Responsible for entering data into JD Edwards – Scanning travelers/back flushing orders.
Responsible for following all applicable safety/housekeeping guidelines.  Performs necessary preventative maintenance as required.
Responsible for following department area procedures (D.A.P.) on matters such as work instructions, documentation, and shipment.

Responsible for working closely with department scheduler to ensure proper work order scan tracking and required work order notes for JD Edwards.
May work on special projects/assignments upon request.

Qualifications: REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE: 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. 
One (1) to three (3) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend (in English) simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Documents may include Material Safety Data Sheets, work orders, work instructions, manuals, policies, and procedures, etc.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Must have basic computer skills.
Regular attendance is required.
Must be able to work overtime as required.
