About the Role

As a founding member of Civic Roundtable’s Partnerships & Federal GTM team, you will work directly with our founders to build the external relationships and ecosystem that help Civic Roundtable grow.

Government’s biggest challenges are solved through networks. The same is true for our go-to-market strategy. Many of our best opportunities come through relationships with associations, consultants, universities, nonprofits, systems integrators, resellers, advisors, and public-sector leaders who can help us enter new markets, build credibility, and reach the right customers. Your job will be to turn those relationships into a repeatable growth engine.

This role is especially focused on the federal ecosystem around our customers: the organizations, influencers, partners, and institutions that shape how agencies find solutions, make decisions, and get work done. You’ll build trust externally, identify creative ways to work together, and help Civic Roundtable become a known and trusted partner across Washington and the broader public-sector ecosystem.

What Your First 6 Months Could Look Like

• Map and prioritize the associations, consultants, systems integrators, nonprofits, universities, advisors, and other partners most relevant to our federal growth.

• Build relationships with organizations that can generate referrals, open doors, strengthen our credibility, or help us enter new markets.

• Develop partnership models including referrals, teaming relationships, joint offerings, events, and thought-leadership collaborations.

• Represent Civic Roundtable at conferences, convenings, partner meetings, and industry events.

• Create lightweight systems for tracking priority relationships, partner activity, opportunities, and next steps.

• Turn founder-led relationships into scalable playbooks and partnership motions the broader company can use.

Key Responsibilities

Build Our Partnership Ecosystem

• Build and manage relationships with associations, consultants, systems integrators, resellers, universities, nonprofits, foundations, advisors, and other strategic collaborators.

• Evaluate partnerships based on their potential to create referrals, market access, revenue, credibility, services opportunities, or long-term strategic value.

• Develop repeatable partnership models, including referral partnerships, teaming arrangements, joint offerings, events, and product-aligned collaborations.

• Maintain a clear view of which partners matter, why they matter, and what actions will move each relationship forward.

Open Doors and Expand Our Reach

• Identify the people and organizations that influence Civic Roundtable’s priority markets.

• Build relationships with senior public-sector and ecosystem leaders.

• Represent Civic Roundtable in introductory meetings, partner conversations, conferences, and convenings.

• Work closely with our Federal GTM, sales, and leadership teams to turn relationships into concrete opportunities.

• Coordinate with marketing and leadership on executive roundtables, webinars, events, and other moments that build trust in priority markets.

Bring Market Insight Back Into the Company

• Listen closely to partners and public-sector leaders to understand emerging needs, market dynamics, and new opportunities.

• Partner with product, deployments, and leadership to translate external feedback into sharper positioning and stronger solution design.

• Surface recommendations on new markets, partnership models, and strategic bets worth pursuing.

Build Systems That Help Us Scale

• Create systems for tracking strategic relationships, stakeholder networks, opportunities, and next steps.

• Develop playbooks, templates, and internal documentation that make partnership development more repeatable.

• Research organizations, sectors, events, procurement ecosystems, and emerging opportunities that can inform Civic Roundtable’s growth strategy.

About You

We’re hoping you have:

• 3–7 years of experience in partnerships, business development, consulting, startups, government, or a related field

• Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships across multiple organizations

• Comfort working directly with founders, executives, and senior external stakeholders

• Experience building new initiatives, programs, or processes in environments with limited structure

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to independently drive work forward

• Familiarity with the federal government or broader Washington ecosystem is a plus
