Part Time, Warehouse Delivery Driver (Punta Gorda, FL)

Job Summary:  Looking for a skilled individual for a part time role delivering packages and coordinating other deliveries from our Territory located warehouses that service the direct customer of our product and installation teams.   As a part time position, this day shift role will have a weekly schedule of up to 29 hours per week. 

Position Requirements & Responsibilities: (These requirements are in addition to any and all Viewrail employment requirements and policies.)

Responsibilities:

• Make timely and safe deliveries of Viewrail products. 
• Work with the other warehouses and drivers to move due dates to help group runs, organize and create scheduled delivery runs.  
• Manage a run list.
• Operate our technical scanning and package locating systems.  
• Run and oversee shipping software systems that are warehouse specific. 
• Make calls to the customer to set up a delivery time and provide updates on the order delivery status (including any changes to delivery dates).
• Maintain and follow warehouse safety guidelines.
• Unload and organize freight in the warehouse.
• Oversee proper truck and forklift maintenance for owned equipment.
• Ship small orders via 3rd party carriers when necessary.
• All other job-related duties as assigned.

 Documentation Requirements:

• Valid Driver License (CDL not required)
• For Hire Endorsement (Company will pay for test)
• DOT Physical (Provided by company if not currently obtained) 

Required Skills:

• Ability to lift at least 70 lbs
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Ability to drive and operate a 26’ box truck with lift gate
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly (Home nightly) 
• Knowledge or willing to learn applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• No OWI’s within the last 5 years
• Strong communication skills
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
