Pathways for Change Children's Counseling Center is a well-established pediatric mental health practice dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and families thrive. We are seeking a compassionate, motivated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or similar, or Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) who is passionate about working with children and families and is looking for a supportive environment to begin and grow their clinical career.
Unlike many agencies, we offer free weekly individual supervision with experienced licensed clinicians and will help you build a full caseload. This is an excellent opportunity for an associate counselor who wants high-quality mentorship while developing strong clinical skills in a respected private practice.
Position Details
- Part-time position 15-20 hours per week with potential to transition to full-time at 25-30 hours per week.
- Part-Time Schedule includes:
- Mondays
- Tuesdays
- Fridays
- Potential Saturday availability
- Afternoon and evening availability is required to accommodate children and families after school hours.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient individual therapy to children and adolescents
- Conduct family sessions and collaborate with parents/caregivers
- Complete timely clinical documentation
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with schools, physicians, and other providers as clinically appropriate
- Participate in weekly supervision and ongoing professional development
- Maintain ethical and professional standards in accordance with Pennsylvania licensing regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Counseling or related mental health field
- Current Pennsylvania LPC, LMFT, LSW, LCSW or Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) credential/or eligible to apply for the LAPC
- Eligible to work in Pennsylvania
- Strong interest in pediatric mental health
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while benefiting from supervision
- Experience with children and families is preferred

FAMILY CENTER - Pensacola’s anti poverty program at the Family Center of Pathways for Change serves under privileged neighborhoods of those living at or below the property level. The Family Center is in walking distance from key underserved neighborhoods and the program provides the tutoring, counseling, training and other life skills. The nonprofit rebuilds hope and maintains the dignity of program attendees who are working to get their GED or train for other employment opportunities. The Family Center has had a far-reaching, positive impact on residents living in Escambia County.
MRT - Pensacola’s Pathways for Change Mens Residential Treatment a successful drug recovery program, a sentencing option for criminal offenders as an alternative to traditional sentencing. The program boasts a 70% success rate and has saved Escambia County taxpayers more than 4 million dollars since its inception in 2006. The 18 month residential program is a therapeutic rehabilitation program aimed to provide lifelong recovery to all participants. In addition to recovery, program participants can get their GED and join vocational programs leading to sustainable drug addiction recovery.
TRANSITIONS - The Pathways for Change's Transitions program offers a sober home that assists people in transition from treatment for drug and alcohol problems back into society. By providing long-term stable housing and personalized, one-on-one counseling, the program helps ensure the success rate for participants, helps keep them off the streets and out of jail and provides work programs. The 12 room, state-of-the-art Clinton Cox Residence is a nurturing environment suited to keep program members away from the streets while they’re transitioning back as productive members of the Pensacola community.
