Job Details: Job Location: Hyatt House Anaheim - Anaheim, CA, Salary Range: $18.00 - $19.00Hourly, The Room Attendant is responsible for keeping guest rooms clean and organized. They do more than just clean; they help make sure guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay by maintaining the high cleanliness standards Hyatt is known for. Being detail-oriented, managing time well, and having a strong work ethic are important for this job. Room Attendants also work with other hotel departments to quickly take care of guest needs and requests. A successful Room Attendant not only knows how to maintain rooms but also has a positive attitude, good teamwork skills, and is committed to providing excellent service to enhance the guest experience.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):

•    Clean and maintain hotel room
•    Change linens, make beds, vacuum, dust, mop, clean windows, and replenish amenities in guest rooms and bathrooms
•    Ensure all supplies such as toiletries, toilet paper, soap, coffee, tea, towels, and linens are stocked and replaced as needed in guest rooms and bathrooms
•    Thoroughly clean and disinfect bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers, bathtubs, and mirrors to maintain hygiene standards 
•    Occasionally helps deliver linen to storage
•    Empty wastebaskets and dispose of trash from guest rooms and bathrooms
•    Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve any issues or complaints effectively
•    Adhere to all safety and security procedures to provide a safe environment for guests and colleagues
•    Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and deliver outstanding service
•    Uphold hotel standards and procedures to exceed guest expectations, including handling lost and found items, ensuring guest privacy, and securing rooms after cleaning
•    Report any maintenance issues or damages in rooms to the appropriate department for timely resolution
•    Follow environmentally friendly practices and procedures to support sustainability efforts

Other Essential Duties: (Continued)

•    Attends hotel and department meetings and other functions required by management
•    Communicates all pertinent information to Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Executive Housekeeper
•    Must be available to work weekends and holidays
•    Arrives to work on time, ready to clock in, in a clean/pressed uniform and non-slip shoes
•    Must maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
•    Wears name tag at all times when at work
•    Must be attentive, courteous and efficient at all times when dealing with the guests and co-workers
•    Comply at all times with compliance standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
•    Establish and maintain good communications and teamwork with fellow employees and other departments within the hotel in such a manner that promotes harmony and goodwill throughout the workplace
•    Be familiar with all policies and hotel rules, and hotel terminology
•    Must be capable of self-supervision and have the ability to manage time accordingly in order to complete the required work
 Qualifications: Qualifications Requirements:  

•    A minimum of 1 year of progressive experience in hotel housekeeping
•    Minimum age requirement of 18 years

Knowledge and Skills: 

•    Proficiency in multitasking is essential
•    Ability to meet the needs of others in a dynamic and fast-paced setting
•    Possess a friendly demeanor and the ability to address guest requests and concerns promptly and courteously
•    Proficiency in using cleaning equipment and supplies, including vacuums, mops, and disinfectants, to sanitize bathrooms and other room areas
•    Understanding of hotel safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for guests and staff
•    Capability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
•    Knowledge of safety protocols to handle chemicals 
•    Ability to keep track of room supplies, restock as necessary, and maintain an organized work area
 
Reasoning Ability:   
 
Room Attendants need strong reasoning skills. They should be able to think clearly about situations, make good decisions, and know which tasks to do first to keep guest rooms clean and tidy. They also need to quickly adjust to changes, like handling special guest requests or dealing with problems that come up during their shift.
