Part-Time Public Area Attendant | RESET Hotel | Twentynine Palms, CA

Summary of Essential Job Functions
•Stock linen closets with amenities and supplies for room attendants may include taking supplies directly to room attendants.
•Empty room attendant carts of soiled linen and trash.
•Clean and remove spots from corridor walls and doors. Polish and clean mirrors, room numbers on guest room doors, and elevator doors.
•Vacuum, sweep, and/or mop hallways, stairwells, vending areas, and foyers.
•Maintain cleanliness in all Hotel public spaces including food and beverage outlets and public bathrooms and common areas.
•Clean ashtrays and empty trash.
•Flip mattresses and move furniture as assigned by supervisor.
•Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
•Make sure all closets and linen chutes are locked at all times.
•Process linen, terry and other materials in laundry and ensure all linens are folded properly and kept as wrinkle free as possible.
•Respond to guest requests in a timely and professional manner.
•Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Abilities Required

Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Working knowledge of the use of laundry chemicals and different formulas, as well as effects on various types of linen. Ability to prioritize and organize work. Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push or pull heavy loads, and stand for long periods of time. Requires lifting bundles of linen weighing up to 75 lbs. Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts weighing up to 100 pounds.

You should be adaptable to change in your work area and in hotel procedures with a willingness to learn new skills and/or improve existing ones, have the ability to solve routine problems that occur on the job, and ask for help whenever you are not sure how to do something.

Safety & Security:
The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to PMHS. Every PMHS associate should adhere to the hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.
