Part Time Porter at FishPond Living at Buena Vista

Job Details: Job Location: FishPond Living at Buena Vista - San Antonio, TX, Position Type: Part Time, Salary Range: $16.00 - $17.00, Sandalwood Management is seeking a Part Time Porter/Groundskeeper to assist the maintenance, make-ready and housekeeping team with general maintenance and upkeep of FishPond Living Buena Vista Apartments in San Antonio, TX. 

The Groundskeeper supports the maintenance, make-ready and housekeeping team to help keep property up to Sandalwood standards by tending to the grounds of the property, assist in preparing apartments and complete resident service requests. This is a fast-paced environment that demands attention to detail, hard work and the highest level of customer service.
Qualifications: WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Clean and prepare vacant units for resident move-ins
Perform cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, washing windows, cleaning mirrors, scrubbing, vacuuming, cleaning carpets and stains
Unit make-ready cleaning and sanitizing toilets, showers/bathtubs, countertops, sinks, appliances and kitchen area
Cleaning, stocking and up keeping the leasing office, property’s social services center, public restrooms, laundry rooms and other shared areas
Emptying trash and recycling receptacles and disposing of waste properly
Maintain community appearance by regularly inspecting and touring the property. Report any concerns or hazardous conditions immediately and other needed repairs/maintenance to the Maintenance Supervisor or Community Manager.
Gather and remove litter, trash and other items that do not belong on property
Ensure that storage areas remain clean, orderly and locked when not in use.
Must be able to demonstrate sufficient reading, writing and math skills for safety and productivity purposes.
Conduct all business in accordance with Sandalwood policies and procedures, state and federal laws e.g. OSHA, ADA, Fair Housing, etc.
Have a sense of urgency with the ability to multi-task under pressure
Be able to lift 50 pounds regularly using appropriate safety guidelines with or without assistance
Porters must wear appropriate safety equipment as required, including but not limited to: back support belt; goggles when working with specific equipment; masks and gloves; and other safety equipment as tasks dictate.

WHAT WE REQUIRE:

2+ years of previous Porter, Janitorial, or Groundskeeping experience, preferred
Successfully pass pre-employment background check and drug test
Valid Drivers License, required
This position is physically demanding. Employee must be able to stand or walk for extensive periods of time. Other requirements include: climbing of stairs and ladders; bending; stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling; lifting, pushing or pulling of heavy items; exposure to extreme heat or cold.

COMPENSATION:

$15-$17Hr., depending on experience
