Position Summary
Operations Officers are the heartbeat of our campus afternoon and evening life. In this dual-purpose role, you serve as a professional ambassador and a logistical "utility player." You are the first face our community sees, greeting visitors with warmth, and the steady hand behind the scenes ensuring our facilities are safe, secure, and ready for action. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Operations, you ensure that as the school day transitions into evening activities, our standards of excellence never waver. This is a part-time position, working Monday through Friday from 2:30 pm to 7:30 pm, with occasional weekend or special event responsibilities. The role is primarily based at the Basking Ridge campus, with occasional duties at other campuses as needed, aligned with the school calendar and operational requirements.

• You are a Tech-Savvy Communicator: You are comfortable using digital tools (Google Workspace, security platforms) to keep the team informed and the campus organized.

Key Responsibilities

• Campus Ambassadorship: Provide professional reception services, manage guest check-ins via SchoolPass/Ruvna, and facilitate wayfinding for families and visitors.
• Operational Support: Partner with Athletics, Facilities, and Auxiliary Programs to support evening event setups, breakdowns, and traffic flow.
• Safety & Vigilance: Conduct security rounds, monitor surveillance systems via Milestone XProtect, and ensure strict access controls to keep our students and staff safe.
• Emergency Readiness: Maintain expertise in Pingry’s emergency protocols and lead/support safety drills with confidence.
• Honor Code Stewardship: Model the school’s values of integrity and respect in every interaction with students, faculty, and the public.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience in hospitality, operations, security, or a school setting is a plus.
• Valid First Aid/CPR/AED certification (or the willingness to obtain it upon hire).
• Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods, walk long distances across campus, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

The salary range for this position is $18-$25/hour. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and education.
