Part-time Middle School Math and Science Teacher

Challenger School is seeking enthusiastic, intelligent individuals to join the middle school teams at our Austin campuses as a part-time teacher - could become a full-time position with training included. As a teacher at Challenger, you will teach individual responsibility, self-confidence, and independence alongside science and math. Our classes are fast paced, fun, and have a proven curriculum already in place. Specific teaching degrees and certificates are not required to teach at Challenger School.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly learn Challenger’s curriculum, teaching methods, and philosophy
• Maintain a safe and productive classroom environment
• Prepare lesson plans and teach daily classes
• Grade daily student homework assignments
• Consistently attend required training and teaching days
• Communicate regularly with parents and administrators on student progress
• Work patiently with students, parents, and coworkers

Qualifications

• 4-year college bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Ability to pass a background check
• Completion of pre-employment assessments
