PART-TIME IN-HOME TUTOR / HOMESCHOOL SUPPORT – INGLEWOOD AREA

We’re looking for a fun, energetic, friendly, and patient tutor to work with our two children, ages 11 and 8, in our home in the Inglewood area.

Schedule: Monday–Wednesday, approximately 3–4 hours per day
Pay: $25/hour

Our children already have an established curriculum, so we are not looking for someone to create lesson plans. We need someone who can guide them through their schoolwork, explain concepts when needed, keep them focused and organized, and make their learning days enjoyable.

We also want this to be more than just sitting at a desk! Once schoolwork is completed, we’d love someone who enjoys incorporating fun, educational, and active activities into their time together.

Activities can include:
• Playing sports and outdoor activities
• Cooking or baking together
• Reading books
• Educational games
• Arts, crafts, or creative projects
• Going for walks or getting outside
• Other age-appropriate activities and projects

Responsibilities:
• Guide both children through their existing curriculum and assignments
• Help explain concepts they don’t understand
• Keep them focused, organized, and on schedule
• Encourage independent learning and good study habits
• Make learning positive, engaging, and fun
• Read and do educational activities with them
• Incorporate physical activity, sports, cooking, and creative projects when time allows
• Communicate with parents about their progress

We’re looking for someone who is:
• Patient, positive, and genuinely enjoys being around kids
• Fun and energetic while still being able to provide structure
• Dependable and punctual
• Comfortable helping with elementary and middle-school subjects
• Creative and willing to think of fun activities
• Comfortable playing sports and being active with the kids
• Able to work with two different ages and learning levels
• Previous tutoring, teaching, childcare, camp, coaching, or education experience is a plus

We want someone who can build a great relationship with the kids while also keeping them accountable for getting their schoolwork done.
