PART -TIME HOUSEKEEPER

POSITION SUMMARY:

The goal of the housekeeping position is to help create a clean and orderly environment in our facilities.  This position will require a variety of housekeeping duties including vacuuming, mopping, surface cleaning, dusting, and laundering linen. Attention to detail and some customer assistance and services are required. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• General sweeping, scrubbing, mopping of hardwood, laminate, or tiled floors 
• Vacuums and cleans carpets, perform further treatments such as shampoo or stain-    removal 
• Removing trash from bins and containers
• Dusting and polishing of furniture and room accessories 
• Cleaning and scrubbing the sinks, basins, bathtubs, showers, and toilets in all facility  bathrooms
• Ensuring linens such as towels are laundered and stocked
• Stocking/maintaining bathrooms to ensure they are stocked with all necessary supplies
• Keeping windows, glass surfaces, mirrors, and counters cleaned 
• Maintaining all public spaces so it is neat and tidy
• Reporting repairs and replacements needed when encountered on job
• Preparing rooms as needed for special events (Chairs, tables, clean area, etc.)
• Performs other duties as required consistent with housekeeping responsibilities
• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred) 
• 0 – 2 years of Previous experience as housekeeper (preferably in a distribution   environment)

Required Skills

• Able to assist customers/guests when needed
• Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance
• Strong attention to detail when cleaning
• Organized and able to develop and follow a schedule
• Good communications skills

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Physically able to push equipment for long periods of time, such as a vacuum cleaner, floor scrubber, and mop/broom equipment
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
• Physically able to reach, stretch, bend and walk for extended periods of time
