Comply with all DOT and company requirements for drivers.
Maintain vehicle in clean and safe manner.
Report any accidents immediately.
To ensure compliance with all GA, NC, SC and FL DOT requirements governing movement of OVERSIZE LOADS, prior to traveling in any other states, please refer to the DOT web site for that state's specific oversize load requirements.
To ensure all required specific oversized load materials are available and in use for all oversized loads.
Comply with company safety policies.
Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work area.
Report all safety concerns immediately to supervisor
General – As Harbin Lumber Company, Inc. is a group of locations each working individually and as a team, the Driver must be a team player and must develop positive working relationships with all location personnel, Outside Sales Representatives, and other Company employees. 

Physical Requirements:   Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds will be required on an occasional basis.   

Working Conditions:  The work is primarily outside work in all types of weather.

RequirementsExperience and Requirements:  All drivers must be at least 21 years of age.
 

FL Escorts - Successful completion of an eight hour defensive driving course provided by a National Safety Council qualified instructor or hold a current CDL (Class A, B or C) & successful completion of a course in management of highway movements or oversize vehicles and loads and must be qualified to perform such functions.
NC Escorts - Successful completion of NC DOT oversize overweight escort vehicle course or certification by another state's program.
Retention of these certification documents in his/her possession for prompt presentation upon request by a law enforcement person.

Education:

High school diploma or GED is required. Certification from a professional driving school or association is highly preferred.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:  Good math and reading skills are required.  The ability to represent the Company in a friendly and helpful manner is required. A basic knowledge of construction and or building materials is helpful.
