Job Details: Level: Entry, Job Location: Southeast Arkansas College - Pine Bluff, AR, Position Type: Part-Time/Extra Help, Education Level: High School, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Travel Percentage: Road Warrior, Job Shift: Day, Job Category: Transportation, Southeast Arkansas (SEARK) College’s Athletic Department is seeking part-time bus drivers for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year. We are looking for drivers with a safe driving record, with a CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) Passenger Endorsement and Airbrakes. Drivers will be responsible for transporting the SEARK Athletic Teams
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Part-Time Bus Driver will be responsible for the safe transportation of passengers. The persons employed in this position must possess a valid CDL driver’s license with required endorsements (passenger and air brakes), complete behind-the-wheel training, have an excellent driving record, be able to pass drug testing, and meet all state requirements for Bus Drivers. High school diploma or its equivalent preferred. Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
Possess a demonstrated ability and willingness to safely drive the college bus, obeying all traffic laws.
Keep the assigned bus clean (wash and clean the bus thoroughly after each trip).
Perform pre-trip bus inspection.
Assist in loading and unloading of the bus.
Maintain safety of passengers following college policies.
Work evenings and weekends as scheduled.
Perform assigned tasks and responsibilities with limited supervision.
Have a working knowledge of all applicable traffic laws.
Keep to an assigned schedule and properly notify the supervisor in case of mechanical failure or lateness.
Transport only authorized individuals.
Report all accidents and complete the required reports.
Work with diverse populations.
