Parks Maintenance Worker - Full Time Temporary

Hiring Pay Range: $18.38 to $22.98 Per Hour

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (eligible for overtime)

Position Summary:

Performs a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled tasks including maintenance of all park facilities, janitorial duties, restroom cleaning is a must, trash pickup, weeding, raking, painting, and special events preparation and other duties as required. Incumbents receive general supervision from a Lead Maintenance Technician, Coordinator or Supervisor

Essential Duties:

• Performs a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled tasks including maintenance of all park facilities, janitorial duties, restroom cleaning is a must, trash pickup, weeding, raking, painting, and special events preparation
• Performs other duties as required
• Incumbents receive general supervision from a Lead Maintenance Technician, Coordinator or Supervisor

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be at least 17 years old at the time of hire and possess a valid Arizona driver's license. Must be able to perform physical work outdoors under all weather conditions. Evening, weekend and holiday work may be required depending on special events.

• Ability to clearly, concisely and effectively communicate in person and over the telephone. Ability to effectively and safely perform required duties and to safely operate required equipment and city vehicle as needed.
