What You'll Do:

•    Prepares learning activity centers as well as educational materials, set-up, meals, and snacks

•    Provides assistance to teachers for child evaluations

•    Assists with parent/volunteer programs

•    Assists with field trips, parent meetings (including child care), and other classroom activities

•    Provides student performance evaluation and planning assistance, providing feedback to the student and teacher

•    Communicates and coordinates with educational staff, students, and parents about routine education issues

•    Monitors safety of and supervises children at assigned site, reinforcing positive child behaviors and related policies and rules

•    Discusses and coordinates instructional efforts with teachers and educational staff

•    Assists with child’s basic needs (e.g., dressing, personal hygiene)

What You’ll Need:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Must have 36 months (5,448 hours) of verified experience in-group care of unrelated children under six years of age
• Knowledge with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Ability to monitor and supervise assigned student activity for sustained periods of time to anticipate and maintain safe environment
• Effective communication skills, including ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
• Effectively handles multiple demands and competing deadlines
• Ability to plan and organize work, at times with interruptions
• Ability to coordinate and work effectively with site staff and a diverse student population
• Aptitude for variety and changing expectations in a fast-paced environment
• Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education. 
• Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.  
• Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position.
