Qualifications: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Maintain valid Kentucky Driver’s License
Completion of High School Diploma or GED
Must hold and maintain Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services licensure for the level of EMT-Paramedic, as well as:
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications
Certificates of completion for ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800
Must have or obtain within twelve (12) months of employment, the certification of PHTLS (Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support), if offered a position
Must be no younger than twenty-one (21) years of age
Must complete department approved defensive driving course, if offered a position
Must complete department approved obstacle and road driving course for each EMS apparatus, if offered a position
