Palmetto Goodwill Retail Custodian (Evening) PT

Summary
Individual contributor in the effort to maintain the interior and exterior cleanliness and appearance and
condition of Retail Store. Completes minor plumbing repairs and maintenance as needed. Must
have the ability to work independently and make decisions and/or recommendations regarding minor
repairs and facility needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists in the installation of ballasts, light fixtures, light switches, and electrical outlets.
• Completes minor plumbing, repairs and maintenance as needed.
• Assists with maintenance and upkeep of company vehicles.
• Participates in light construction projects to include, but not limited to building shelves, leveling
bracing, and repairing doors/hinges.
• Performs dry wall repairs and light painting.
• Uses and maintains all assigned tools such as general maintenance tool sets and ladders.
• Works with others as a team in the performance of Custodian duties.
• Vacuums traffic areas and office areas.
• Mops and scrubs floors as needed.
• Mops for spills
• Cleans, wipes sinks and water coolers with disinfectant cleaner. Cleans and sanitizes microwave
ovens and refrigerators.
• Cleans and wipes vending machines.
• Cleans air ducts and assists a/c technician with all PM maintenance and cleaning of HVAC units.
• Inventories orders and maintains needed supplies.
• Sets up for all events at location.
• Polices outside areas of the Main Campus
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
Physical Demands
Frequently required to push, pull, bend, lift, stand, kneel, and reach arms above head. Must be able to
maneuver or lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Work Environment
Work is performed in an indoor climate of average daily seasonal temperatures. Occasional outside work
is subject to varying seasonal temperature. Team member may be exposed to odors, chemicals, product
spills, dust, loosened wax or water.
