Pallet Build Lead

Job DetailsJob Location: McCook, IL 60525Salary Range: $19.00 - $20.00 HourlyPosition Overview: The Skid/Pallet Builder (Carpenter) role involves building skids and pallets to specifications, operating lift trucks for material transport, maintaining safety through daily inspections, and collaborating with the team to achieve goals and maintain housekeeping.

Job Duties:

Build skids and pallets according to product dimensions /or customer specifications
Operate lift trucks to transport, store, and stage materials within the warehouse
Perform daily lift truck inspections
Move up and down from lift truck
Report on any equipment issues
Work collaboratively with team to meet goals
Contribute to housekeeping procedures
Complete additional job-related responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

Experience with hand tools, pneumatic air Nailer, drills, miter saw & circular saw, tape measures.
Strong attention to detail
Ability to follow processes & procedures
Effective communication skills
Ability to frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds
Mount & dismount equipment
Capable of walking and bending for periods of time

Job Qualifications – Required

High School Diploma/GED equivalent required
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve work-related issues
Detailed oriented with the ability to perform multiple tasks in fast moving environment
Ability to follow oral and/or written instruction
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
One (1) year of lift truck operation experience
