Job Details: Job Location: Iowa Aluminum - Albia, IA, Salary Range: Undisclosed, The Packer is responsible for packing the material and bundled per customer and company requirements.    This role is pivotal in maintaining Iowa Aluminum's high standards in aluminum extrusion operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Packing Role:

Responsible for packing aluminum extrusions per customer and company requirements. 
Secure bundles for finished material and prepare for shipment.
Assist in various responsibilities.
Monitor equipment performance and if issues arise, report to the supervisor.
Responsible for safety and proper housekeeping of the shipping and packing area.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills:

Ability to read and interpret simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to apply to follow detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure compliance with all quality-related policies, procedures, and system requirements.
Knowledge of Quality Standards.

Training and Safety:

Adhere to all safety protocols and wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).
Participate in safety and job training sessions as required.
Responsible for safety and proper housekeeping of the packing and shipping areas.

Team Collaboration:

Understands the plant quality, productivity, and profitability goals and his/her team’s unique role in attaining them.
Collaborates with shift leads, supervisors, and managers to meet company goals.  
Communicate with other shifts on issues that happened during the shift. For example - safety, quality, equipment issues, and productivity based on the plan.

Qualifications:

Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal abilities, with a focus on efficient and effective communication. Must be self-motivated and able to initiate tasks independently.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift, push, and pull materials weighing up to 60 pounds. Frequent bending, lifting, and reaching.

Attendance: Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
