Overnight & Day Emergency Veterinarian / DVM - FT & PT

Cladda is seeking a Veterinary Emergency Clinician (DVM/VMD) to join our emergency team. This is a chance to practice high-quality emergency medicine in a supportive, well-equipped hospital — working alongside specialty services to deliver coordinated care for patients ranging from routine urgent visits to the most complex critical cases.

Cladda Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Team is a 24-hour emergency and specialty veterinary hospital serving Fredericksburg, VA and the surrounding region. We combine round-the-clock emergency care with a growing roster of board-certified specialty services, giving our team access to advanced diagnostics, a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, and a caseload that keeps medicine interesting.

What You'll Do

• Triage, diagnose, and treat a wide variety of emergency presentations, from routine urgent care to critical trauma, toxicities, and life-threatening illness
• Perform emergency procedures and interventions (stabilization, wound management, surgery as needed, blood product administration, oxygen therapy, and more)
• Collaborate closely with our specialty teams on shared and transferred cases, including critical care, surgery, and internal medicine
• Work alongside technicians and support staff to maintain strong ICU protocols and monitoring standards
• Participate in ongoing training and mentorship opportunities in emergency medicine techniques
• Serve as a resource for referring veterinarians and support client communication around diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis
• Contribute to case rounds and ongoing development of hospital protocols

What We're Looking For

• DVM/VMD (or equivalent) with 3+ years experience for overnight. Mentorship possible for Day
• Strong clinical, communication, and collaborative skills
• A team-oriented approach and comfort working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
• Active or eligible veterinary license in Virginia
