Operations Associate

Ellipsis Labs is a profitable, venture-backed New York-based startup building sustainable and efficient DeFi protocols on high-throughput decentralized infrastructure. Our long-term goal is to build a better financial system.

Our flagship product, Phoenix Perpetuals, brings professional-grade perpetual futures to Solana. Building on our experience developing efficient markets, Ellipsis Labs also operates SolFi, a proprietary automated market maker that provides efficient liquidity for key trading pairs. Our foundational product, Phoenix Legacy, is a limit order book on the Solana blockchain that established our expertise in operating high-performance markets. Combined, these products have facilitated over $285B in trading volume across Solana markets.

Ellipsis Labs is seeking an Operations Associate to join our team. You'll be the operational backbone of the company, owning the systems and day-to-day execution that let a fast-growing startup run smoothly, from office operations to executive support to recruiting logistics. This is a high-visibility generalist role: you'll get exposure to how every part of the company runs, with real ownership from day one and room to build and improve the processes as we scale. In this role, you will:

Office Operations

• Own the day-to-day operations that keep our office running well, including developing a strong sense of what the space needs before it becomes a problem

• Manage inventory, including laptop procurement and coordinating repairs or replacements when equipment breaks

• Work with the team to craft best in class events, end-to-end

• Own the guest experience

• Own all things food for the team, including daily lunch and dinner, and keeping snacks and drinks stocked

• Support the logistics and administrative work of an upcoming office move

Recruiting Operations

• Work with our head of talent on interview scheduling and on-site coordination

• Keep our recruiting systems clean and up to date

• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding for new hires and departing employees

Executive Support

• Own our cofounders' calendars

• Schedule business dinners on an as-needed basis

• Handle one-off requests as they come up

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong organizational and systems-thinking skills: you naturally look for ways to turn ad hoc work into repeatable process

• A demonstrated bias toward action: you take ownership of a problem and see it through without needing to be told twice

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• High discretion and sound judgment, particularly around confidential calendar and business information

• No task too big or small: comfortable with hands-on work like restocking, setup, and other physical tasks alongside higher-level project work

• Natural project and vendor management instincts, with the ability to set clear expectations and hold vendors accountable

• Comfortable operating in-person, in a fast-paced startup environment where priorities shift day to day
