Job Description Summary
Assist the Operations Manager with overseeing venue operations, managing the facility and inventory, and maintaining a high level of customer service for clients.
*This is a part-time position averaging 15-20 hours per week. Working hours will vary depending on scheduled events at The Barn.
Job Description
Essential Functions:
-
Responsible for providing exceptional service to all guests in a friendly, efficient manner.
-
Review and implement requirements outlined in the Banquet Event Order (BEO) forms.
-
Assist with the physical set-up and break-down of event facilities, as needed (lifting, moving, and arranging tables, chairs, furniture etc.).

Store equipment and materials neatly.
-
Refresh function areas during functions: tidy up rooms, restock, and tidy restrooms.

Clean and mop all rooms of the facility, as needed.
-
Empty trash from all function areas, as needed.
-
Assist with vendor and consultant relationships.
-
Assist with monitoring planned vendor deliveries.
-
Assist with oversight of vendor and guest compliance with policies.
-
Inspect and report all maintenance issues.
-
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
-
High School diploma or equivalent.
-
Responsible and Dependable.
-
Previous experience in banquet set-up is a plus.
-
Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.
-
Enthusiasm is a definite must-have.
-
Excellent customer service skills.
-
Professional appearance and demeanor.
-
Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.

Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language (English) used in the workplace.

Work schedule varies and may include covering shifts - AM/PM, weekdays, evenings, holidays and weekends.
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand and walk for long periods.

Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
-
Must be able to walk, bend, climb, kneel, and extend reach.
Environmental Conditions:

Subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions.
