We provide customized language training to professionals and private students for work, family, and travel purposes.
📍 Position Details
We are currently looking for a freelance Navajo language tutor for one of our clients in Canberra (AUS - AEST)
- Reference ID: 1129476
- Course Type: Online
- Format: one-to-one
- Total Hours: 10 (ten)
- Session length: one hour (sixty minutes)
- Location: by Zoom video-conference
- Student: 65 y/o gentleman
- Current language Level: Elementary
- Schedule: once per week, either on Sunday at 8 AM, Saturday at 8 AM or Wednesday at 12 noon (Australian Eastern Standard Time - flexible)
- Start Date: as soon as possible
- Student's Motivation: love of Native American cultures, interest in WWII code talkers; challenging my brain to learn new skills. I love the complexity and novel features of Diné Bizaad and want to extend my ability to learn.
🎯 Ideal Candidate
- Be a native Navajo speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification
- Have experience as a language teacher, translator or interpreter
- Feel comfortable teaching online
- Have your own device and access to a quiet space and reliable, fast internet connection
💼 Conditions
- The schedule may be flexible based on availability
- Hourly rate is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications
- Freelance position, with part-time hours
