Online Course Administration Specialist

Position Summary

The Online Course Administration Specialist (CAS) provides technical support to the Instructional Design team within the Center for Learning and Teaching (CELT). The role will be responsible for updating specific technical aspects of the University's online courses as part of a course development project.

This part-time role requires strong attention to detail, comfort working in the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS), and the ability to work efficiently and accurately across multiple courses. The project-based work also requires the ability to work independently and manage responsibilities within established timelines.

This is a part-time, ongoing role with a flexible hybrid work arrangement. While the initial work will focus on a specific course development project, the role will continue beyond the completion of the project and may include additional course production work.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Update designated technical components of online courses in Canvas, including organizing existing content within the established course structure and applying approved formatting and layout standards.
• Work systematically through assigned courses and programs, following established procedures and project priorities to ensure work is completed accurately and consistently.
• Complete assigned work within established project timelines and assist with other duties related to course maintenance as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned

• Ability to follow established procedures, work independently, and manage a large volume of work while meeting project deadlines.
•  Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Supportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS)

Education & Experience

• Experience working with technology, web-based applications, and/or learning management systems. Experience with Canvas is preferred, but training will be provided for candidates with experience using other learning management systems.
• Experience working in a higher education or online learning environment preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

This is a part-time, staff, non-exempt position. The starting wage may be determined upon education and/or experience. Tuition benefits are available for employees; however, there are no other benefits associated with this position.
